Grants Manager, Data and Reporting

In the early part of 凯德’s career, they participated in a master’s program that paired a degree with service in the Peace Corps. It was through their time in Mozambique that 凯德 forged a passion for health, serving as a community public health volunteer that encompassed a variety of roles and responsibilities.

凯德 noted that their time working with girls and women empowerment programming was a highlight in Mozambique, along with learning in-depth practices of programmatic monitoring and evaluation. 凯德’s experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer, coupled with their graduate studies in public administration at the University of Washington, ultimately was the spark toward building a career in mission-driven work.

After graduating with their master’s degree, 凯德 maintained a global focus while working in New York at the Institute of International 教育 on a Brazilian exchange program for undergraduate students studying science, 技术, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

凯德’s next professional endeavor landed them in Colorado, becoming introduced to the world of philanthropy and grants management at the Gill Foundation, one of the nation’s largest funders of equality and advancing lesbian, 同性恋, 双性恋, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) rights. 凯德 shared that being a relentless advocate for LGBTQ causes is near and dear to their heart.

At the Foundation, 凯德 is a member of the Grantmaking Operations team fulfilling various functions cross-departmentally in support of organizational needs for data and reporting, also supporting any visualization needs within the department.

凯德’s passion for the Foundation’s mission is centered on the ideal that true change occurs through the process of being community-informed. Before ever stepping foot into programmatic or philanthropy work, 凯德 recognized the need for on-the-ground experience. In their time oversees and back home in the nonprofit sector, 凯德 acquired deep knowledge on everything it takes to receive funding resources to advance a respective mission. 凯德 understands the vital role Grantmaking Operations plays in ensuring the Foundation achieves its mission of improving the health of Coloradans, and feels proud to play their part in making our neighbors healthier.

Running is 凯德’s healthiest habit, while also making sure they have at least a little time dedicated to meditation and self-reflection. They love to explore all Colorado has to offer, along with trying out new recipes with ingredients they’ve never experimented with before.

Life is best when 凯德 is spending time outdoors with the people they love and doing things they love together.
